Iceskating rink added to Festival of Light 2019

Not one to skate by with the same thing year after year, Chickasha's Festival of Light is including a skating rink in this year's activities.

The Festival of Light made the announcement on their Facebook page earlier this week. The idea has been wildly popular with festival fans.  As of Friday morning, that post has raked up over 1,700 shares, 1,000 comments and 1.7k likes.

The details are still being solidified, but information on pricing and hours will be added to the Festival of Light Facebook page.

The Festival of Light has added several unique features over the last 27 years, including a live nativity, camel rides, petting zoo, carriage rides and most recently, a ferris wheel and carousel.

The Festival of Light will open on Nov. 23 and run until Dec. 31. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Festival of Light is open every holiday season in Shannon Springs Park, 2400 S. 9th St. in Chickasha.
