The Chickasha Festival of Light is set to open this Saturday featuring the new iceskating rink.
The outdoor rink will be located near the famous giant Christmas tree in Shannon Springs Park.
The price of admission is $12 for those renting ice skates or $8 without a skate rental.
From Nov. 23 through Dec. 22, the iceskating rink will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The iceskating rink will open earlier on weekends. On Saturday, the hours are 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
The Festival of Light will have some extended hour days Dec. 22 through Dec. 31. During this time, the rink will be open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, the hours will be 3 p.m to 11 p.m.
The Festival of Light has added several unique features over the last 27 years, including a live nativity, camel rides, petting zoo, carriage rides and most recently, a ferris wheel and carousel.
The Festival of Light will open on Nov. 23 and run until Dec. 31. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Festival of Light is open every holiday season in Shannon Springs Park, 2400 S. 9th St. in Chickasha.
