A sprinkle of rain and slightly cooler morning temperatures this weekend were not a sign of things to come.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of Oklahoma, including Grady County, this week.
On Tuesday, temperatures are currently forecast at 96 degrees with heat index values reaching 102 degrees. Wednesday and Friday are forecast at 99 degrees and Thursday could bring a triple digit heatwave to Chickasha. Saturday and Sunday are also expected to reach highs near 100 degrees. The lows this week are in the mid to high 70s, according to the National Weather Service.
Weatherbug's forecast predicts that next Monday, Aug. 12, could be especially hot with a high of 102 degrees.
