The Friends of the Chickasha Public Library is planning its spring $1 Used Book Sale in April and is accepting donations from the community -- homes, schools, businesses and churches.
If you are doing some spring house cleaning and don’t know what to do with books, magazines and other materials, please consider donating your ‘ready-to-share’ reading materials to the Friends of the Library for the sale.
Each year the Friends’ book sale offers thousands of materials including Children, Teen, and Adult Fiction, Reference Materials, Non-Fiction Books, DVDs, Book CDs and magazines..
Donations are accepted at the Library, 527 W. Iowa, throughout the year, six days a week. Just stop by the front desk and ask about making a donation.
Proceeds from the spring $1 Used Book Sale will be used to help purchase new books and materials for the Library.
On Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be a bake sale. Profits will benefit the funds to purchase new front doors for the library.
While at the Library, patrons may renew or obtain a new ‘Friends of the Chickasha Public Library’ membership which will be effective through June 30, 2020. The membership fees for 2019-2020 are student and senior adults - $5, individual - $10, family - $25, and patron - $50 or more.
