Freeze watch in effect for parts of Grady County on Friday night

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for much of Oklahoma on Friday night and Saturday morning. 

The watch covers areas of Grady County, including Chickasha, Blanchard and Tuttle. 

Overnight on Friday, heat indices could drop to 30 degrees in Chickasha. 

Frost and freeze condition could kill tender vegetation or possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. NWS recommends that residents take precaution. 

This weekend, the forecast is sunny with a high of 66 degrees on Saturday and 75 degrees on Sunday. The weather is expected to warm up further on Monday with a high of 82 degrees.
