Two Cyril residents were injured in a crash on Monday morning after a semi allegedly ran a stop sign.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that the semi was traveling northbound on County Street 2670, west of Cyril. The truck failed to stop for a stop sign and struck a car headed westbound on SH19. The car rolled a quarter turn and departed the roadway, the report said.
The driver of the car, Denise Harris, was transported by Survival Flight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was admitted for head, trunk, leg and internal injuries. A juvenile female was transported by Survival Flight to OU Medical Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City. The child was admitted with head, trunk, arm and internal injuries, according to OHP.
The drive of the semi refused treatment at the scene.
County Street 2670 was completely blocked on the north side of SH19 for nearly five hours following the collision, from 7:15 a.m. to noon.
