In addition to seeking a new superintendent, the search is on for a new Chickasha Board of Education member.
The appointed candidate will serve on board seat no. 5 for the remainder of the existing term, until the next school elections in April 2020. Candidates should contact Zack McGill, current Chickasha Board of Education President at firstname.lastname@example.org by July 1.
Board Seat No. 5 is vacant since Doug Brown resigned from his post last month. The board approved his resignation at the June 11 meeting, which was the next meeting following Brown's resignation. Brown served as the Chickasha Board of Education President.
Candidates must meet a list of qualifications which includes residing in and being a registered voter within the district for at least six months. See map.
Candidates must also have at least a high school diploma or certificate of equivalency. Candidates must not have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving embezzlement or a felony. Candidates further must not be employed by the school district or related within the second degree to any other member of the board or any employe of the school district.
