The Chickasha Area Arts Council (CAAC) is excited to invite the community and out-of-town visitors to stop by 1301 S. 7th Street in Chickasha, OK and see the beautiful art exhibits on the gallery walls and to browse the large array of specialty items located in the CAAC’s Gift Shop.
Before visiting the magnificent Festival of Light displays in Shannon Springs Park, travel down 7th Street to the 7th Street Art Connection to find manyone-of-a-kind items available for great gifting. Browsing through the CAAC Gift Shop visitors will find many items which include: pottery, floral arrangements, jewelry, cigar box guitars, quilts, purses and bags, books by Oklahoma authors, photography and artistic prints all by Oklahoma artisans and crafters.
Visitors may shop in December on Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m., Fridays, from 1 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, the Gift Shop is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If the ‘Gift Shop Open’ sign is in the front yard, come on in and join us!
Current exhibits on display feature the fine art of artist and art teacher Susan Beth Wilhelm from Yukon, OK and designs by the late Derald Swineford, USAO (OCW) Art Department Chairman for 29 years and Professor Emeritus for another 15 years. You will be amazed with their talent and beautiful work.
