Dance scheduled for Friday

Come and dance to the sounds of Red and Ray from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6 at Borden Community Center.



Church singing held

The first Saturday night singing will be held at Sharon Evangel Church this Saturday, Sept. 7.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and will take place at the church located four miles north of Amber on Highway 92.

The public is invited to attend.



Ninnekah Historical Society prepares for Heritage Day

The Historical Society is making the final preparations for the Heritage Day celebration on October 7.

The celebration will include many fun activities such as a parade, petting zoo, silent auction, quilt raffle, cake contest and auction, entertainment/karaoke, BBQ meal, children's games, games/craft booths, square dance exhibition, and antique tractor/cars and motorcycle viewing.

The evening will be ended with a dance under the stars.



CASA training planned

Voices for Children will conduct a training session for community volunteers. They are seeking community individuals, 21 years or older, to be a child’s voice in court. You can be a part of the solution to “Stand up for abused and neglected children.” The free training will be held October 14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., October 16, 19, 23, and October 26 from 5:30-9:00 p.m. For more information or to volunteer for the training call 224-0404.
