Wind hampers CHS track's Lindsay outing

LINDSAY, Okla. —

Blustery conditions played havoc with times, although Chickasha did put a few on the podium at the Lindsay track meet on Saturday.

Kori Smith, Ivy McPherson, Jaycie Brown and Tawn Neidy placed first in the girls' 400 meter relay with a time of 51.87. Smith, Tania Davis, Brown and Neidy's time of 1:49.70 was good enough for third in the 800 meter relay.

Brown came in second, running a 26.50 in the 200 meters. Davis took third in the 400 meters, finishing in 63.21 seconds.

Coach Nancy Waters said that while the wind hampered times, she's proud of how her girls competed in tough conditions. Chickasha heads to the Conference meet on Friday, with regionals playing out a week from Saturday.
