CHS girls honored at conference, state level

CHICKASHA —

On top of being apart of the first Chickasha girls team to reach state in nearly two decades, some Lady Chicks came away from this season with conference and all-state honors.

Golightly led the team to state with a double-double 18 points and 13 rebounds against El Reno at area.

Senior Alex Stewart was named all-conference third team, but also receive an all-state honor. The Oklahoma Girls Basektball Coaches Association named Stewart to the Large West team that will compete in this summer's All-State games.

Stewart will find herself lining up alongside some of Chickasha's opponents from this season, including Lawton-MacArthur's Paj Jackson, Jordan Gilbert from Carl Albert, and Whitney Jones from Deer Creek in the Large West team.

Stewart finished the season on fire for Chickasha, culminating in a 28 point performance against Ardmore in the area round of playoffs.
