Ruffles and Rust Expo returns to Chickasha

The Ruffles and Rust Expo is returning to Chickasha on Saturday, providing frills and vintage thrills.

Camey Malbonado, promoter of the Ruffles and Rust Expo said its exciting to come back where the expo debuted.

The Ruffles and Rust Expo is described as a "traveling vintage show with a boutique feel."

Hand-painted furniture, original and refurbished vintage, clothing, jewelry, home decor and unique items are just a few of the items that can be found at this

Local businesses are donating the swag bags that will go to the first 100 people to attend the Ruffles and Rust Expo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 12 at the Grady County Fairgrounds. Admission is $5 and children 12 and under are free.

There will also be a "Lil' Junkers Play Area" that will feature face painting, hands-on crafts and more to keep kids entertained.

Malbonado said she is grateful to the local businesses participating.

The local Boy Scouts will be manning the concession stands. This will be their main fundraiser for the year, Malbonado said.

This year the expo is bigger and with many more local vendors. At the time of this report, about 75 vendors are slated to show their shabby chic wares.
