Interurban expected to open before February

CHICKASHA —

Chickasha has seen a bevy of new establishments over the last year, but none so anticipated as Interurban and the wait is almost over.

Owners Jason Woods and Zach Grayson said they hope to open the location by the end of the month.

Woods said the Chickasha location will have close to the same menu as the Norman Interurban with a few local dishes.

The duo started out as managers in the company and own the Duncan Interurban in addition to the Chickasha location.

Grayson said the bar area will serve several beers, including local brews like Mustang. Frozen Margaritas and frozen Vegas Bombs will also be available for purchase.

The establishment will seat up to 139 people with 60 patio seats between two patio areas.

Once open, Interurban will operate 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. - 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

On the weekends, the kitchen will shut down at 11 p.m., but bar appetizers will still be available.

Woods said daily specials are expected to start in March.
