The Drovers blew past Hillsdale College on Thursday afternoon, securing the 11-6 victory at Bill Smith Ballpark.
Blake Pruett, who was the starting right fielder on Thursday, went 3-for-4, scored two runs and batted a runner in. Left fielder Brian Vigo went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs.
Nolan Crowdus also scored two runs as a pinch runner for catcher Owen Adams, who went 2-for-3 on the afternoon. Adams also batted a runner in.
Center fielder Romus Cezar and designated hitter Brandon Jewett each scored a run and had two RBIs in the game.
Heath Wilda, Zach Gonzalez and Konrad Mueller each scored a run as well.
Simon Mitchell started on the mound for the Drovers. In six innings, he threw eight strikeouts and gave up just one earned run. Colton Henricks, Clinton Selman and Blake McMullen each spent an inning on the mound.
It was USAO baseball's first ever Strike Out Cancer pink game. The Drovers wore pink shirts and fans sported the new color as well. USAO's chapter of Colleges Against Cancer sponsored the event.
The win propels the Drovers to 23-17 overall. They head to Weatherford to take on NCAA Division II Southwestern Oklahoma State this weekend in a doubleheader on Saturday.
They will not play again at home until April 21, when they play Saint Gregory's for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
