Chickasha girls beat Southmoore

CHICKASHA — The Chickasha High School girls swim team came out on top in the Chicks' last home meet of the season against Southmoore.

The Lady Chicks beat Southmoore 141-114. The Chickasha boys came in second to the Sabercats, 179-112.

The Chickasha girls had several first-place finishes. Madison Rivas finished first in the 400-meter freestyle, beating second-pace Alexis Villenueva by more than 30 seconds with her time of 6:22.16.

The 400 freestyle relay team, which consisted of Kristen Kern, Hailie Luther, Ashli Taylor and Greta Crowl clocked a time of 6:54.21.

Caitlin Critchfield won the girls 100-meter butterfly with a time of 1:37.16. Kern finished second in 1:45.70.

The girls 200-meter medley relay team of Kylie Foster, Bailey Bryan, Critchfield and Rivas finished second with a time of 2:44.07. The same four girls also placed second in the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 2:25.29. The Southmoore team that won the 200 freestyle relay earned a state qualifying time of 2:17.41.

Other results: Critchfield finished second in the 200-meter freestyle (3:04.95). Kylie Foster finished second in the 100-meter backstroke and fourth in the 200-meter freestyle.

Rivas finished second in the 50 freestyle. Crowl finished third in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle.

Kern finished third in the 100 butterfly. Bryan placed second in the 100 freestyle and second in the 100 backstroke.

Luther finished third in the 100 breaststroke.

The boys 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay teams finished second.

Nils Michael finished second in the 100 breaststroke and fourth in the 50 freestyle.

Kale Nye placed third in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 200 freestyle.

Andrew Ross placed second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 50 freestyle.

Nathan Stewart placed fourth in the 100 backstroke. Dale Courtney was fourth in the 400 freestyle  and fourth in the 200 freestyle. Russell Jobe was third in the 100 freestyle and third in the IM. John Allen was third in the 100 freestyle.

Chickasha's next meet is against Casady at the Lighthouse at 1:30 p.m.
