Am-Po juniors plan class fundraising dinner

— Amber-Pocasset junior class will be hosting their class fundraising dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 4:30 - 7 p.m. in the high school cafteria in Amber. The menu for the evening includes indian tacos, dessert and drink.

Tickets are $6 for adults; $4 for children age 4-10 years; free to those younger than 4 years and are available from junior class members or at the door.

    Some unusual automobiles were spotted coming through Chickasha on Tuesday. These solar powered creations at a team of escorts were on the way to the University of Oklahoma, one of the stops on the American Solar Challenge cross country race between teams who have built their own solar powered cars. Aside from turning the sun's rays into energy, they certainly turned plenty of heads.

    Three times within a week, 34-year-old Michael Granillo went to the emergency room at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles because of intense back pain. Each time, Granillo, who didn't have insurance, stayed for less than an hour before leaving without being seen by a doctor.
