Drug home raided after traffic stop

A traffic stop led to the eventual arrest of six people on Wednesday, five of them related, on charges of drug possession and distribution out of a family home.

The stop resulted in the arrest of the driver, and information obtained took police to a home in southwest Chickasha where a suspected drug operation was located. In addition to marijuana, a police field test revealed nearly 69 grams of suspected methamphetamines inside the residence.

The drug find began when Officer Chad King of CPD stopped the driver of a white Chevrolet Cavalier, identified as 22-year-old Kevin Youngman. According to an incident report, King said he could smell of what he believed was marijuana. While back at his patrol car, the officer said he witnessed Youngman become fidgety and reach under his seat. After asking the suspect to exit the vehicle, he informed the officer there was a bag of marijuana under the drivers' seat.

Youngman was then placed under arrest, but the big find for officers was to come later. Adamson said after further investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 1700 block of W. Georgia Avenue. There, police found Wilford Daugomah, 45, and Julie Anderson, 46, the parents of Vincent Daugomah, 31, and Russell Daugomah, 18. They also found Dale Ako, 21, the reported cousin of Russell Daugomah.

They also found multiple bags and/or containers of marijuana, various pipes with marijuana residue, 68.5 grams of a "putty like substance" identified as methamphetamine, and various pills with no prescriptions. The arrest reports noted the suspects were observed trying to get rid of the drugs and paraphernalia before police could catch them.

"Some of the suspects attempted to throw the marijuana out the window, but the officers observed them doing this and were able to recover the evidence," Adamson said. "All of the people were found inside the residence.
