Deputies nab suspected drug dealer

CHICKASHA — A Grady County man was apprehended by the Grady County Sheriff’s Office after being picked up for possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute along with several other drug and firearm offenses.

Grady County Sheriff Deputy Zachary Davis said at just after noon on Friday, he went to 1828 West Park Avenue in Chickasha to serve a warrant for Garrett Brannon Seebeck.

The house, which contained a Glock-style pistol, along with methamphetamine, marijuana, 100 individual $1 bills wrapped in $20 increments and a set of scales, was secured until Seebeck signed a search waiver.

Seebeck was officially charged with Possession of a Firearm after a former felony conviction, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 2,000 feet of a school, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Marijuana.

“After Garrett was cuffed, I asked him where his ID card was and he said inside,” Davis said. “Garret began to walk inside the residence, and I grabbed him by the arm and told him to wait because from the doorway I observed a pistol laying in plain view on the edge of the couch.”

Davis said the firearm was fully loaded with a round in the chamber.

Seebeck’s home is located one block south of USAO.

Grady County Undersheriff Rusty Pyle said after Seebeck was detained he told the arresting officers, “This is just like the government to stick it to the poor, white man. I’m not mad at y’all, just mad at the system.”

Pyle said the warrant for Seebeck was for Failure to Appear for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
