Police searching for armed suspect who hit deputies with car in August

CHICKASHA — Police in Grady County are on the lookout for a man who allegedly struck two deputies in a car while trying to escape from two Chickasha Police officers last month.

Samuel Delk was last seen on Sept. 14 and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

"A Grady County Deputy spotted Delk and attempted to pull him over. Delk once again refused to pull over, drove through a large ditch and going airborne in the car he was driving before coming to a stop in a yard," a report from the Grady County Sheriff's Office said. "Delk then ran on foot through a heavily wooded area losing the Deputy. The Deputy then secured the vehicle for impound, and in taking inventory of the vehicle, the Deputy found illegal drugs as well as numerous loaded guns."

More warrants are expected due to the most recent incident, according to the sheriff's office.

Delk is approximately 5 feet six inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

A reward in being offered in this case. Delk was last known to be living in the Ninnekah area.

Delk has three felony warrants from the August incident, including endangering others, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
