Employees at a local restaurant have been left with a bad taste in their mouths courtesy of a man harassing them with vulgar phone calls.
Chickasha Police Officer Ryan Rahlf was dispatched to Bistro Lorene on Sept. 13 to take a report on the communications. Rahlf said he met with business owner, Lorene Wood who told him the business had received threatening phone calls over the last month.
"Lorene said a man with a Middle Eastern sounding accent was on the other end of the call," Rahlf wrote in a report. "Lorene said originally he would ask for one of her employees, Robin Lewis. Lorene said that Robin said that he told her that he owed some money to his company and was trying to collect. Lorene said Robin told her that she did not owe him money or even know anything about it. Lorene said she told the man several times not to call there anymore, but he continued to do so.
Lorene said that at the time of their lunch rush he called about 20 times."
Wood become agitated with the caller and began to chastise him. The man responded obscenely, telling Wood to "go f**k herself" and that he would "f**k her a**."
Rahlf searched the number online and found evidence suggesting the harassment was related to a scam. Accounts online stated the caller would become vulgar, just as he had with Wood, according Rahlf.
Rahlf suggested Wood blow a whistle into the phone the next time she receives a threatening phone call.
