Teenager shot in Chickasha during afternoon fire fight

CHICKASHA — A 19-year-old man was shot June 4 in Chickasha following an afternoon argument.

The Chickasha Police Department arrested 19-year-old Chickasha resident Lorenz0 Alexander for shooting with intent to kill after receiving a shots fired call in the 1300 block of Henderson, according to a press release from CPD.

The victim, 19-year-old Shaquile Miller, was transported to Grady Emergency room and later transported by helicopter to an Oklahoma City area  trauma center.

The victim received at least one gunshot wound and his condition is unknown at this time. "Although the investigation is still in the preliminary stages it appears that Miller and Alexander got into an argument, which escalated when firearms were pulled and discharged," the release states.

Alexander was taken to the police department and was later booked into the Grady county jail.

Eye witness reports said Miller was shooting from a moving car at Alexander's father's house.

At the time, Alexander was reportedly in the front seat of his car and upon seeing Miller shooting at the house, shot Miller.

The witness's name has been omitted for their protection.

Miller was arrested three times in 2012 for various crimes.
