The summer drum camp for students in kindergarten-seventh grade begins today and ends June 13.

Vacation Bible School for students in pre-K-6th grade also begins today at the Grand Assembly of God church.

A Lindsay man was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing into a water transfer pump on County Road 1520 in Grady County on Friday. Read more in tomorrow's issue of The Express-Star.

Chickasha is expected to have a new head football coach and head boys basketball coach by the end of tonight. Both appointments are on the agenda for tonight's Board of Education meeting, which starts at 6 p.m. Athletic Director Yohance Brown said last week that he planned to have recommendations for both positions ready for the meeting.

Grady County received rainfall ranging from 4 to 7 inches in Acme over the weekend, providing some much-needed moisture. Dale Thompson, Grady County Emergency Management Director reported at the Grady County Commissioners meeting. Read more in tomorrow's issue of The Express-Star.
