Today is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 81. Tomorrow is expected to be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low 60s. Sunday is expected to have the potential for thunderstorms with a high of 83 and low of 40.

Events

Moe Bandy will have a concert benefiting the Resurrection House, a faith-based shelter, at 7:30 tonight at the Grady County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $20 at the Chickasha Bank and Trust Co., Spencer's SuperMarket, Atwood's and at www.thereshouse.com.

A painting workshop called Paint on Canvas will be at the Wellness Studio, at the intersection of 4th Street and Kansas Avenue, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. tonight.

A concert featuring Cliff Shelder and Nathan Burris to benefit Blanchard VFW will be at the Blanchard Intermediate School cafeteria from 6:30-8:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Grady County, compared to the rest of the central Oklahoma region and particularly the area around Oklahoma City, has more people that commute out of the county and has lower average wages. However, the city of Chickasha is working to build more housing and increase jobs to solve the problem.
