Five pitchers see Chicks past Indians


The Fightin’ Chicks will go into their big summer tournament this weekend on a high after securing two wins over Plainview Tuesday night.

In the double-header it was game one that drew the most attention, as it ended with Chickasha on top 5-4 after eight innings. Derek Sullivan crossed the plate in the bottom of the eighth for the decisive run after a fly ball was dropped in foul territory while he stood on third base. 

The second game was a quieter affair, ending 1-0 Chickasha. The only run in the game came at the bottom of the first.

Head coach Brad Gore said he was happy with his team’s pitching on the night, as five different players took the mound in the two games combined.
