Basketball delayed due to weather

CHICKASHA —

After the girls' team had the start of their season delayed last week because of weather, Chickasha basketball will have to wait even longer to tip off.

Games scheduled at home tomorrow night against Durant have been postponed, meaning both the boys and girls teams will start their seasons later than expected. The next game for the boys is scheduled for a week from Tuesday at home to Elgin.

Head coach Christy Edelen said she hopes her girls team will be able to compete in the Millwood tournament starting Wednesday. The tournament, which was set to open the Lady Chicks season last Thursday, has already been moved because of the blast of winter weather that has been felt across the state.

Tuttle and Minco are still scheduled to tip off Tuesday night. The Tigers will begin their basketball season against Marlow, while the Bulldogs welcome Dibble already two games deep into their seasons.
