In its last competition of 2012, the Chickasha High School wrestling team placed second at the Anadarko Invitational tournament over the weekend.
The Fightin' Chicks finished only two points behind Cushing High School, the No. 2-ranked team in class 4A, 220-218.
Three Chickasha wrestlers won championships at the tournament.
Jacoby Brown won the heavyweight title, Josh Latham won the title at 182 pounds, and David Eakers was the champion of the 132-pound weight class.
Eakers was also named Most Outstanding Wrestler in the tournament, the second week in a row that he has earned that honor at a tournament.
Second-place finishers for Chickasha were Dakota Resendez (113), Triston Hill (145), Riley Williams (170) and Sam Richardson (195).
Lamar Neff (106) and Denver Calhoun (126) placed third.
Bubba Wright placed fourth, Dominic Neff was fifth and Coy Richardson placed sixth in their respective weight classes.
The Fightin' Chicks placed every wrestler they took to the tournament.
The next competition for Chickasha will be the Pauls Valley Invitational tournament Jan. 4-5.
The Chicks return to dual action at Shawnee at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8.
