Crimestoppers tip leads to narcotics bust

CHICKASHA — Chickasha Police received a Crimestoppers report on Feb. 18 that led to discovery of narcotics and a variety of weapons, including rifles and handguns.

"We believe the total weight to be over 10 pounds with a street amount around $50,000," Chickasha Assistant Police Chief Elip Moore said. "I am thankful to have Crimestoppers in our community and for the tipster(s) that called in to report this. I am very pleased with the teamwork between the DA's Task Force and our officers."

The investigation was a joint effort between the District Attorney's Drug Task Force and Chickasha Police Officers.

The tip lead to the arrests of Dustin Pierce on suspicion of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent and possession of firearms after conviction during probation, Kayla Pierce on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, Derek Kennel on suspicion of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and Jeffrey and Janice Wynn on suspicion of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
