A woman was arrested for assault on a police officer yesterday when she yelled and threatened officers after she was involved in a head-on collision on 4th Street and Grand Ave.

Rep. Joe Dorman, gubernatorial candidate, is holding a campaign rally today at the Canadian Valley Technology Center's Chickasha campus.

USAO is holding its annual Spring Triad of events, including a Scholastic Meet, the Montmartre Chalk Art Festival and Droverstock music festival today. See coverage of the music festival in tomorrow's edition.

The Montmartre Chalk Art Festival at the University of Science and Art Oklahoma is colorful, annual event. Students from around the state as well as artists take their artistic talent to the USAO Oval asphalt. See pictures of the event in tomorrow's Express-Star.

The Amber-Pocasset Panther Classic starts today. Rush Springs faces Cordell at 2:45 p.m. before the hosts take on county rivals Verden at 7:15 p.m. tonight. Results throughout the first round will determine when teams play tomorrow.
 
Two titans of the NBA Western Conference meet at Chesapeake Energy Arena tonight at the Thunder get set to host best in the west San Antonio. Oklahoma City sits five games back of the Spurs, and while it is unlikely they will catch them to take the top seed in the playoffs a win will provide them an extra shot of momentum heading into the post season. 
The Thunder are 3-0 against the Spurs this season.
