CHS principal catches students having sex in school stadium

CHICKASHA —

The Chickasha High School principal saw way more than she expected to during a routine walk of the school grounds Thursday.

Principal Beth Edwards told Chickasha Police Officer David Harper-Head that she saw student Jack Richards and a minor female student having sex in the stadium.

"Edwards said that [the female] was seated on a table with her legs apart and Richards was standing up in between her legs having sexual intercourse with her," Harper-Head said.

Harper-Head said Edwards told him that school was in session during the incident and the students were visible to anyone passing through the stadium.

"Edwards said that Richards was belligerent and used obscene language towards her," he said. "Edwards said she had [the female] walk with her to the principal's office…Richards walked along and continued to use obscene language and yell."

When Edwards said she planned to call the police, Richards walked off, according to an incident report.

Chickasha High School Assistant Principal Scott Palesano found Richards on campus. He proceeded to yell at Palesano as well, according to the report.

"Both Edwards and Palesano said that Richard's conduct was disruptive and caused a disturbance at the school," Harper-Head said. "Richards only attends the first hour of school at Chickasha High School and then he is supposed to leave. Edwards and Palesano said they have told him this before, but he refuses to comply and comes up to the school to see his girlfriend."

Edwards placed Richards under citizens arrest for disturbing the school and having sex in a public place, according to the report.

Richards was arrested for disturbing the peace and taken to the Grady County Jail.
