Events

James Harper's Senior Recital at 7:30 tonight at the USAO Alumni Chapel.

The Friend Fire Dept. will host a BBQ Dinner and Cake Auction from 3:30 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Friend School Cafeteria. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

Sharon Baptist Church will host a Lenten Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow.

The weather is warming up and Artscope day camp is just around the corner. The two-week program will be at USAO, June 9-20. Day campers will be able to study drawing, painting, sculpting, theatre, dance, and music as well as experience a presentation from a guest artist. Artscope instructors have extensive experience as both teaching and performing artists. Artscope will be a great way to experience the arts from real artists and to learn how artists think and create while having fun.

Oklahoma Representative James Lankford spoke at a town hall meeting yesterday at the Chickasha Public Library about budget issues, Oklahoma-specific problems and Benghazi.

The Chickasha City Council had a special work session last night about the possible rezoning of the south side of Country Club Road from single-family homes to Residential Multiple Ownership homes, or duplexes.
