Christmas creature leaves library

CHICKASHA —

An elf who has been making its way around the Chickasha Public Library on various shelves found his forever home on Monday.

"The ELF on the Shelf visited Chickasha Public Library this December.  Each day the elf was in a different place reading a book and children had to find him and then they could enter a drawing to win the elf to take home," a release from the library stated.

Phaedra Smith of Verden won the drawing and in addition to receiving the elf, Smith also won The Elf on The Shelf Naughty or Nice Board Game and Elf on the Shelf Activity Book.

“Phaedra is a frequent visitor to the Library, I’m so happy she won,” said Lillie Huckaby, children’s librarian.

The library will be hosting a day of board games Dec. 30 at 3 p.m. to conclude the holiday season.

There will be a variety of games for a variety of ages so come and enjoy,” said Huckaby.

The library is located at 527 Iowa Ave.
