Gore happy with baseball progress

“Mario Medina came a long ways," Gore said. "He didn’t get to play very much at the beginning of the season, but, due to some injuries and guys not performing he got in there and made big strides this summer."

Towards the end of the season, assistant coaches Blake Taylor and Dan Edwards got a chance to get their feet in the wet coaching the team and showing some success.

Coach Gore wasn’t surprised; Taylor and Edwards had success coaching the team.

“They really understand the game and really understand the players," Gore said. "The kids responded well to them. Both the kids and I are very lucky to have those guys around our program."
