Local man refrains from fighting abusive girlfriend

CHICKASHA — Chickasha resident Kenneth Francher called the Chickasha police after he said he was hit several times in the face by his girlfriend.

Officer Reid Kerr responded and upon arrival noted in his report that Francher had a bloody and swollen lip, and swelling on the right side of his face.

Francher said he and his girlfriend, Andra Williams, got into a verbal argument over her drinking habits.

"He (Francher) then decided to take their 2-year-old baby girl to his mother's house so they could 'cool off,'" Kerr wrote in the report.

After he started walking out the of the front door, Francher said Williams grabbed him from behind by his hair and repeatedly hit him in the face.

"After being struck Kenneth ran into the rest room and locked the door," Kerr wrote. "He called the police and waited."

Williams said he hit Francher because he was going to take away her bay and that Francher grabbed her after she struck him and pushed her down on the couch.

Kerr said no bruising or marks could be found on Williams' arms consistent with her story.

Williams was arrested for domestic abuse.
