CHICKASHA — HSI Sensing announced they now offer the world's most powerful Form C reed switch this week continuing the company's growth trend.

“For customer applications that demand a consistent, reliable reed switch in a high-power environment, we absolutely have the most powerful Form C in the world for that package” said HSI Sensing president David Posey in a release.

Posey listed industrial and chemical plant valves, position signaling, valve position monitoring, hazardous chemical level detection, and liquid level signals among suitable applications for the company’s line of high-voltage reed switches.

According to HSI's website, Reed Switches can be used industries ranging from healthcare to aerospace applications. Posey said the switch is an electrical device that deals with cutting out interference electrical applications.

"I like to tell people it converts mechanical motions into an electrical signal," Posey said.

Posey said all switches are precision-manufactured with hermetically-sealed tungsten contacts, which give them extended life in extreme environments.

"Engineered with tungsten contacts, the HSR-933W boasts a power rating of 100 watts, making it 25 percent more powerful than any other Form C available," a release from HSI Sensing reads. "It can also be modified to carry up to 400 watts, giving it up to five times more power than the nearest competitor."

These devices are also customizable for a customer's specific application, the release reads.

“If they want a customized housing that has their name and part number on it, we can do that,” said Posey. “We can also customize the sensitivity and power ratings, and even provide special wire lengths to reach their control box.”

HSI Sensing purchased San Diego based Genisco Filter Corp. last month, expanding the company's ability for technological improvement in the industry as well.
