Blog: Barresi stops by Am-Po Schools

— I would like to send a brief thanks to State Superintendent Janet Barresi for taking the time to visit with Grady County school administrators on Feb. 15 at Am-Po Schools.

As a journalist, I was impressed with her down-to-Earth demeanor and willingness to answer questions from both the administrators and students representing FFA, FCCLA and TSA.

The students: Madison Pfeifley, Lydia Blaine, Dalton Chaney and Stetson Clawson are also to be commended for their poise and professionalism.

Finally, I thought that the Grady County school administrators, principals, teachers and personnel asked the state superintendent some very good questions that reflected their interest in our county's students.

How do you think our state superintendent is doing, Grady County? Reply in the comments.

Aside from turning the sun's rays into energy, they certainly turned plenty of heads.
