Police picked up a man they allege was drunkenly strolling down the middle of 9th Street early Wednesday.
Jody Carson was approached by Chickasha Police officer Clayton Hobbs, according to a report, after Hobbs observed him walking in the center of the road. He said the suspect had red, watery eyes, was slurring his speech, was unsteady on his feet and had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.
Hobbs said Carson admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening. Carson said he was upset after an argument with his wife.
Carson was arrested for public intoxication and taken to Grady County Jail.
