Redskins hold off Cordell comeback

(Continued)

AMBER —

They made it four by the time Cordell figured out Borski in the sixth. Leadoff Ball walked, showing the first crack in the Redskins wall. Third baseman Retsyn Ootton made it a chasm with a shot over the left field fence for a two-run homer to halve the deficit. The flood continued with a solo home run from Michah Waters, and suddenly the game looked very different.

The Blue Devils finished off the sixth with a three up three down, but couldn’t get the tying run in the seventh. Rush Springs advance to play either Lindsay or No. 4 in Class B Lookeba-Sickles on Friday at 5 p.m.
