Tuttle, Blanchard advance to second round

TUTTLE — The Tuttle High School football team advanced to the second round of the 3A state playoffs with a 34-7 win over Bristow at home Friday night.

The Tigers got another huge game out of running back Jesse Gregory, and was able to force some turnovers in the victory.

Tuttle will go on the road to play No. 1 Kingfisher at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the second round.

The Blanchard Lions advanced to the second round of the playoffs with a 41-33 win on the road over Cushing. The Lions will play Madill at 7:30 p.m. Friday on the road in round two.

Two Grady County teams saw their seasons end in the first round Friday. Minco lost 67-20 at Ringling, and Alex lost a home game to Garber, 46-16.
