Tuttle hosts Blanchard in marquee 3A game

CHICKASHA — The top two teams in district 3A-1 will meet tonight in a highly anticpated battle between the Blanchard Lions (8-0) and the Tuttle Tigers (8-1).

Both teams feature high-scoring offenses, with Blanchard averaging 47.8 points per game and Tuttle putting up 40.8. The only time Tuttle has scored fewer than 34 points was in a 23-7 loss to Jones on Oct. 19 Blanchard's defense has allowed 10.3 points per game, whereas Tuttle has given up only 8.7.

Blanchard running back Braden Stringer has rushed for 728 yards and nine touchdowns this season. Not far behind is running back Stephan Davis, who has run for 649 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Both teams also have potent passing games, led by Blanchard quarterback Brock Lamle and Tuttle quarterback Cooper Koons.

Blanchard head coach Jeff Craig and Tuttle head coach Philip Koons will have to make sure their players are on their A-game tonight when the teams battle it out at 7:30 pm at the Tuttle High School football stadium
