ANADARKO, Okla. —
The Chickasha High School boys and girls basketball teams both lost on the road against Anadarko on Saturday night in the second game of a back-to-back.
The Lady Chicks lost 67-33 to the No. 1 Lady Warriors (4A) and are now 9-11 this season.
Dominique Golightly was Chickasha’s leading scorer with six points. Alex Stewart scored five, and Kieley Clift and Kelsi Gore scored four points each.
Chickasha trailed by only eight points at halftime, but was outscored 27-4 in the third quarter. Ashley Beatty scored 16 of her game-high 25 points in that period.
The Chickasha boys played a closer game, but let it slip away in the fourth quarter, and lost 60-55. The Fightin’ Chicks are now 11-9.
Anadarko led 36-33 after three quarters, and went on a 12-2 run early in the fourth quarter to put the game away. The Warriors hit 3-point shots on three possessions in a row during that game-sealing run.
E.J. Golightly scored 23 points, 11 in the fourth quarter. Datious Dufur was the only other Chickasha player in double-figures with 14.
Both Chickasha teams beat Noble on Friday night on the road. The girls won 59-37, and the boys avenged their season-opening loss to the Bears with a 55-48 win.
The Chicks will play two home games next week. Tuesday, Chickasha will host Durant.
Friday, Shawnee comes to the CHS Activity Center for Chickasha’s senior night game. The girls will tip off at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 8 p.m.
