Chickasha swim wins home meet

CHICKASHA —

Chickasha's swim teams won their meets at USAO on Tuesday, with both the boys and girls taking the top spot in points.

The boys, led by senior Kale Nye and Dale Courtney, beat out three teams to take first, while the girls' senior Madison Rivas took a few first place finishes on the way to their team win.

It was winning ways form the start for the girls with a win in the 200 meter medley relay. Rivas followed that up with a win in the 100 meter freestyle in a time of 1:19.12. Sophomore Caitlin Critchfield won the 100 meter butterfly, and the 200 meter freestyle relay took first en route to the win.

 Nye won the 200 meter freestyle with an improved time of 2:38.92 as well as the 100 meter breaststroke. Courtney's 400 meter freestyle win and senior Andrew Ross's win in the 100 meter backstroke solidified the team victory.
