The Chickasha High School wrestling team has two wrestlers in the finals of the state tournament, and three more in the consolation semifinals going into the final day at State Fair Arena.
Jacoby Brown (285) and Josh Latham (182) will both wrestle for state championships Saturday evening at State Fairgrounds Arena.
Brown will wrestle Deer Creek senior Tyler Follis in the final. Follis is 32-3 this season, and got to the final match by beating John Cardenas of Northwest Classen and Cory Barnett of Western Heights.
Brown beat Ryan Goodfox of Shawnee and Griffin Qualls of Coweta in the first two rounds.
Latham, a junior, will get a rematch with Del City senior Jacob Lamb for the state championship. The two met last weekend in the regional finals in Duncan, when Latham came out on top.
The final matches in each weight class are scheduled to begin at 5:45 p.m.
Dakota Resendez (113), Triston Hill (145) and David Eakers (132) each split their first two matches, and will wrestle in the consolation semifinals Saturday morning, still having a chance to place third or fourth.
Resendez will wrestle Markwae Sanders from Duncan. Eakers is set to face Mitch Sanders of Tahlequah. Hill will wrestle Hestin Lamons of Tahlequah.
Consolation semifinal matches begin at 10:30 a.m., and consolation final matches are scheduled to start at 12:45 p.m.
State Fair Arena is located at 3001 General Pershing Blvd. in Oklahoma City.
