Josh Latham, with his 61 yards on seven attempts and a touchdown, and Tresjon Davis, with his 41 yard touchdown catch, also got in on the action, providing for an active and dominant second half of football to see off the Spartans.
"We had a great second half," Cobble said. "The first half wasn't a thing of beauty, but we finally got ourselves turned around."
It also makes for a final week playoff scenario that is particularly friendly for Chickasha, but only if they can beat Duncan. The 35 point deficit over Southeast eclipsed the minimum target of 15, and thanks to a few other results -- most importantly Del City beating Duncan -- it leaves Chickasha well within reach of this week's opponent and fourth place in the district. A win by six points over the Demons should result in a postseason appearance, Cobble said.
"We had to have that in order to stay in striking distance of Duncan," Cobble said. "I think that game will be a knock down, drag out kind of game. We'd like a big rowdy crowd for that one."
