The Bridge Creek High School girls soccer team lost to Madill on Saturday on the road in its next-to-last game of the Bobcats' inaugural season.
The Lady Bobcats lost 4-3, going down 4-2 late but not being able to get the equalizing goal it needed.
Carly Hodge, Katie Whitley and Sarah Hill scored the goals for Bridge Creek, and Autumn Gilchrest had assists on Hodge's and Whitley's goals.
Whitley benefitted from a change in position, moving to forward from defender.
"We moved her to forward recently, and she's really improved," head coach Jason Sanders said. "She played a really good game and was able to head a ball in to cut the lead to one."
Sanders said Sarah Hill played her best game of the year at forward for the Bobcats.
"She played really strong, and was aggressive on the offensive end," Sanders said.
As Bridge Creek approaches senior night, which is Tuesday against Cordell, Sanders recognized senior Brittany Cain, who came to the team from basketball, as one of the season's most improved.
"She's become probably our best defender," Sanders said. "It's her first year of soccer. She's a really good athlete who we recruited for basketball, and she had a really solid game."
Bridge Creek's other seniors are Sara Ramirez, Payton Whitmill and Alice Wright.
Ramirez and Cain are both starters.
