Minco, Alex make playoffs while Rush Springs, Bridge Creek just miss

— The Minco High School Bulldogs beat Pioneer-Pleasant Vale, 41-21, on Friday.

With the win, the Bulldogs finish the regular season with a 6-4 overall record, 3-3 in district A-3.

The victory put Minco in fourth place in the district, qualifying the Bulldogs for a playoff berth. They will play at Ringling at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Alex High School Longhorns got their second-straight shutout win and their seventh win in a row Friday, beating Macomb 47-0.

The Longhorns end the regular season with a 9-1 overall record, 8-1 in district B-2.

Alex was already locked into second place in the district, behind 10-0 Fox, the only team to beat the Longhorns this season.

Alex will host Garber at 7:30 p.m. Friday for the first round of the playoffs.

The Rush Springs High School Redskins ended their season on a positive note, winning 34-14 over Wilson on Friday night.

The Redskins end their season with a 4-6 overall record and a 3-4 record in district A-4.

Rush Springs finished one game behind fourth-place Healdton in the district, missing the playoffs by finishing fifth. Healdton beat the Redskins 21-8 on Oct. 26.

The Bridge Creek High School Bobcats ended their season on a three-game losing streak, getting beaten 42-7 by Jones in the final game Friday.

The Bobcats finished the season at 3-6, and 2-4 in district 3A-1. Bridge Creek finished tied for fourth in the district with Marlow, but Marlow got the playoff spot by winning their head-to-head matchup on Oct. 26.
