The Amber-Pocasset High School boys basketball team beat Dibble 62-39 on Tuesday in Dibble, and advanced to 10-3 this season. The Panthers began play in the Hinton Invitational tournament on Thursday afternoon against Hammon.
The Lady Panthers also beat Dibble on Tuesday, winning 60-28. They are now 9-3 and played Hammon JV on Thursday afternoon in the Hinton Invitational.
Other teams in the Hinton Invitational are Lookeba-Sicles, Harding Prep, Crossings Christian, Christian Heritage, Luther, and host-school Hinton.
The Verden High School boys basketball team broke a three-game losing streak Tuesday by beating Minco on the road, 43-37. The Tigers are now 8-6 this season.
The Lady Tigers lost their third-straight game Tuesday, getting beat by Minco 33-54. The Verden girls are now 6-8.
The Verden basketball team are scheduled to host Cyril tonight, with the girls playing at 6:30 p.m. and the boys at 8 p.m
The Bulldogs started play in the Three Rivers Conference tournament at Crescent on Thursday night. The girls played Thomas at 7 p.m. and the boys faced Crescent at 8:20 p.m.
The Minco boys have struggled this season, and were 3-7 before Thursday's game. Bruce Hobgood's Lady Bulldogs were 8-3 going into Thursday.
The Blanchard High School boys basketball team lost its first game of the season against Muenster High School (Texas) in the Plainview Tournament, and has won nine games in a row since then, including a 62-40 win over Pauls Valley on Tuesday night on the road.
The Blanchard Lady Lions are 6-4, and also beat Pauls Valley on Tuesday, 60-45.
Both Blanchard basketball teams began play in the Charles Heatly Classic at Lindsay on Thursday.
The Blanchard boys played the OKC Knights and the girls played Plainview.
The Bridge Creek High School boys (1-8) and girls (7-2) basketball teams will be playing in the Bethel CD Warehouse Classic this week, starting yesterday with a boys game against Heritage Hall and a girls game against Newcastle.
The Tuttle High School basketball teams started play in the Konawa Invitational tournament Thursday, playing Holdenville on the girls side and Lexington on the boys side.
