Cowboys, Sooners tied at halftime of Bedlam

NORMAN, Okla. — The No. 13 Oklahoma Sooners football team played to a tie with the No. 21 Oklahoma State Cowboys in the first half of the Bedlam game at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman on Saturday.

The Cowboys jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Sooners defense tightened up as the half went on and they were able to come back in the second quarter to bring the game to a 24-24 tie.

OU quarterback Landry Jones was 25-for-34 for 285 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the first half. Kenny Stills, Jalen Saunders and Trey Millard each had one touchdown reception. Stills is the team’s leading receiver with 87 yards on seven receptions.

Oklahoma State quarterback Clint Chelf was 8-for-16 for 104 yards and one interception, and he ran for 63 yards on seven carries. Joseph Randle rushed for three touchdowns in the first half, on 10 carries for 32 yards.
