Lady Chicks snap streak on big night for Stewart

CHICKASHA — Alex Stewart made Senior Night her own as the Chickasha girls topped Durant 57-48.

The senior guard had a second half worthy of finishing her career in the Chickasha Sports Arena to finish on 28 points. Stewart scored 23 of those in the second half with three buckets from beyond the arc. The win ends a six game losing streak for Chickasha (7-12).

Dominique Golightly was also in good form once again, picking up a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The sophomore was part of a concentrated attack at the block that slowly opened up the outside shots as the game progressed.

The collective effort canceled out 16 points from Alexa Richards for Durant. Richards sank four three pointers, two as Durant pushed for a late comeback. Ciera Taylor contributed 10 points.
