The Chickasha High School girls soccer team got an important district win Friday night against Lawton MacArthur on the road.
The Lady Chicks won the game 2-1, and improved to 9-2-1 overall and 4-2 in district play with one game remaining.
Chickasha is ranked No. 9 in class 5A, as of last week's rankings.
Kelsey Taylor scored both of Chickasha's goals in the game, and is second on the team with 10 goals this year.
Tara Arnold and Marleana Morrow had one assist each.
Lawton MacArthur's only goal came on a penalty kick.
Chickasha's next game is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday against a 1-9 Altus team that has only scored three goals all year.
The Chickasha boys lost their second district game out of their last three Friday, dropping 2-0 to Lawton Mac.
The Fightin' Chicks are fighting for a playoff spot, and are currently 7-4 overall and 4-2 in district play.
Harrison Ford had 18 saves for Chickasha, but the Chicks' offense wasn't able to produce against the Highlanders.
Going into Monday's game between El Reno and MacArthur, Chickasha and El Reno were tied at 4-2 in district play, although Chickasha got an overtime win over the Indians on April 5 at Hampton Field.
The Fightin' Chicks will play Altus, which is 2-3 in district, at 6 p.m. on the road.
