The Lady Bulldogs managed to gain an early lead on the Eagles, going up 13 to 5 at the end of the first quarter. OCA slowly chipped away, however, to set up a semifinal against tournament host Amber-Pocasset on Thursday. Minco will now play Ninnekah on Friday in the consolation bracket.

Jensen Overton and Corey Phelps also contributed to the Lady Bulldogs solid early start, with Overton going to the free throw line often and Phelps sinking a late three in the closing minutes of the first quarter.

The second quarter the Eagles began to shorten their deficit and closing in on the Bulldogs score. Minco got into foul trouble early allowing OCA multiple trips to the free throw line. But it was Addison Martin and Veronica Cassel’s play that helped keep OCA generate an offensive rhythm. The pair combined for all twelve second quarter points with six apiece.

OCA took their first lead of the game in the third quarter while allowing Minco only five points to bring the score to 29-27. Nine of OCA’s 12 points came from, Estep who hit three from beyond the arc on the comeback trail.

The lead changed hands all the way up to the final minute of play. Terry continued scoring down low as she had the whole night with Jensen Overton adding some points of her own.

But Estep also kept scoring, with support from Cassel. Kali Wakefield helped her team win with a three point shot late in the third to give the Eagles the lead and Estep made her final two free throws in the final seconds to finish out the game.
